GPS/TEC & Imager Plotting Tools

Here we provide the ability to plot GPS Total Electron Content (TEC) and OMTI Resolute Bay 630.0 nm all-sky imager data alongside radar data in various ways. You can plot

  • An eight-plot of GPS/TEC data for a given day with SuperDARN convection patterns overlaid, at a time step of 3 hours, like so

  • GPS total electron content data; it is also possible to overlay radar data, fields of view, and contours of the electric potential, like so

  • 630nm all-sky airglow images from the Optical Mesosphere Thermosphere Imager - or OMTI - instrument in Resolute Bay, Canada overlaid onto maps of GPS TEC; it is also possible to overlay radar data and contours of electric potential, like so
