VT SuperDARN student A J Ribeiro presented his PhD thesis on Monday, October 28 to an examining committee of six professors and a general audience. His defense was successful and now he will graduate at the December convocation. AJ is advised by Drs. Jo Baker and Mike Ruohoniemi and VT Adjunct Faculty Dr. Pasha Ponomarenko (University of Saskatchewan). He will be the first doctoral graduate from the VT SuperDARN group. The title of his thesis is: 'SuperDARN data simulation, processing, access, and use in analysis of mid-latitude convection'
Congratulations, AJ!
