Nathaniel has been one of the better-travelled SuperDARN graduate students. In addition to attending SuperDARN workshops he spent a semester studying at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) - the world's northernmost university - and participated in numerous meetings such as those hosted by AGU, CEDAR and GEM. He served two years as a Student Representative to the Science Steering Committee of the GEM program.
