VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) at one of the five Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions: Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, The College of William and Mary, or Hampton University
• Must have completed at least two years of a STEM undergraduate program and be classified as a junior or senior during the 2020-2021 academic year (must have at least junior status by summer 2020 if choosing this option)
• Must be in a program of study demonstrating an interest in STEM and supporting NASA’s mission
• Must have a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must not graduate before May 2021
VSGC GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS
ELIGIBILITY:
•U.S. citizen
•Graduation date no sooner than May, 2021
•Conducting research that supportsNASA’s mission
•Grade point average of at least 3.0
•Must be receiving matching funds of at least $6,000 from applicant’s academic institution
•Enrolled as a full-time graduate student at one of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions:
The College of William and Mary
Hampton University
Old Dominion University
University of Virginia
Virginia Tech
Virginia Space Grant Consortiums' Undergraduate and Graduate STEM Research Scholarships and Fellowships for 2020-2021

The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $8,500 to rising juniors and seniors who are enrolled full-time in a program of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance. ![]() The VSGC Graduate Research STEM Fellowship Program provides fellowships of $6,000 in add-on support to graduate students to supplement and enhance basic research support. Applicants must be Student at NASA enrolled full-time in a program of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance. Application deadline is January 31, 2020.
