• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours) at one of the five Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions: Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, The College of William & Mary, or Hampton University
• Must have completed at least two years of a STEM undergraduate program and be classified as a junior or senior during the 2022-2023 academic year (must have at least junior status by summer 2022 if choosing this option)
• Must be in a program of study demonstrating an interest in STEM and supporting NASA’s mission
• Must have a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Must not graduate before May 2023
VSGC Graduate Fellowship ELIGIBILITY:
• U.S. citizen
• Graduation date no sooner than May, 2023
• Conducting research that supports NASA’s mission
• Grade point average of at least 3.0
• Must be receiving matching funds of at least $6,000 from applicant’s academic institution
• Enrolled as a full-time graduate student at one of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium member institutions:
William & Mary
Hampton University
Old Dominion University
University of Virginia
Virginia Tech

Hello,
Virginia Space Grant Consortium’s (VSGC) 2022-23 Scholarship/Fellowship program is now accepting applications. Please see attached flyers for the Undergraduate Research Scholarship and the Graduate Research Fellowship. You may find more information and link to the application at the websites below.
The research must be of interest to NASA, student-led, and faculty mentored. We typically award about 50 students through these two research opportunities. Scholarships/Fellowships are only open to VSGC member institutions which include Hampton University, Old Dominion University, Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, and William & Mary.
