In a stunning example of information technology prowess, the VT SuperDARN team members located both in Goose Bay, Canada and Blacksburg, Virginia have restored internet connectivty to the Goose Bay radar site by means of a satellite connection.

"It's great! It's great to have it back! It has been down for two months, so we are glad that we finally have it to where we want it," states engineer Kevin Sterne. Data is again being downloaded to the Blacksburg laboratory on a regular basis and the real-time data feed to Goose Bay is again available on the Virginia Tech SuperDARN website.
