We are saddened to inform the community that our student, colleague, and friend Spencer Forsling has passed away as the result of a traffic accident. Spencer joined the Virginia Tech SuperDARN group as a summer intern in 2023 and stayed with us en route to completing dual bachelor's degrees in computer engineering and electrical engineering in the spring of 2025. As an intern this past summer he made important contributions to our research program and to website development. He began graduate studies this fall. We all knew Spencer to be a warm-hearted, generous person, always quick with a smile and so vibrant. We will miss him dearly. Our sympathies go out to his family.
