On behalf of the Data Analysis working Group (DAWG) Kevin Sterne has announed a new release of the SuperDARN Radar Software Toolkit (RST) which has just been published on Zenodo:
https://zenodo.org/records/17900947
As the naming convention goes, this is a patch release as it includes more informational updates for radar site changes than changes to processing code. Still, this latest release should be downloaded from Zenodo and used in place of version 5.1. Key updates in version 5.1.1 of the RST include:
- New/Updated Radar Information
- Corrected radar names for Siziwang radars (sze, szw)
- Added Hokkaido East (hok) tdiff value after data analysis
- Updated Hankasalmi (han) info for Borealis installation
- Updated SANAE (san) info for Mabel installation
- Updated Iceland East, West (ice, icw) info after electronics upgrades.
- Documentation, Bug fixes and Miscellaneous
- Following discussions around the 2025 SuperDARN Workshop and following Data Analysis Working Group meetings, the author list has been updated to include all known previous authors

We encourage users to contact us if they have questions or find problems with the software. New contributions to the software are also most welcome. You can contact us by opening an "issue" on Github (https://github.com/SuperDARN/rst/issues), or alternatively by email. We also encourage anyone that would like to help with testing and contributing to the software to contact someone in the Data Analysis Working Group, including myself!
Some of the changes to radar information were brought up several months ago and I appreciate everyone’s patience on having the correct information in a published release.
