On July 22, 2026 before a committee of four professors Chris successfully presented his thesis, completing all the degree requirements for award of the Master's degree. The title of his thesis is 'Analysis on the Visibility of the O-mode and X-mode in SuperDARN Data'. Chris demonstrated the magnitude of the difference that can be expected from HF radiowave propagation in the ionosphere in the two modes. He made extensive use of the PHaRLAP HF propagation tool and the International Reference Ionosphere (IRI), and he extended the results on HF modelling for SuperDARN that was begun by an earlier graduate student.
